Jeannie Brunskill

I have had a varied career in the arts. Starting off at art school in Eastbourne and going on to Brighton Polytechnic. Then followed several years as a make up artist, eventually working at Glyndebourne opera as Head Make up artist and Manager, but still determined to pursue my painting. I was lucky enough to have a work accepted at the Royal Academy Summer exhibition in London, which of course was of a plant, and it was very exciting to see it had been sold at the private view! Afterwards I was approached to exhibit in a gallery just around the corner from Harrods, and I haven’t looked back. I went on to have my work accepted at the RWS open at Bankside Gallery several times and in galleries in London and the South West. I have even been lucky enough to win a few awards including one at The Bath Painting competition.

I have a passion for education and run creative art classes for children, and sometimes for adults too. The rest of my time is spent working in my studio evolving my work, learning new skills and techniques,… I can’t ever see a time when I wouldn’t be painting; it makes me happy and completely infuriated in turns, but it will always be a big part of my life.
